Table of Figures/Tables - Approx. 200 of each in large document
I believe we are using Word 97.
I have a 1200 page WORD document that has about about 200 Figures and Tables and I would like to make a Table of Figures and Table of Tables to include. I was able to make a Table of Contents using RD Field Codes and believe I need to use the TC to make a Table of Figures/Tables but there are approx. 200 of each Figures/Tables. Using the master document did not work as it kept crashing.... Thank You -- LisaW |

Hi ?B?TGlzYVc=?=,
I believe we are using Word 97. You can check that in the Help/About menu. Search in Help for the information about the TOC field. You'll find a list of switches; these are the things that customize the field (the TOC) to do different things. One thing you can have it do is pick up an SEQ field identifier, so that it creates a list only for paragraphs that belong to that particular SEQuence (such as Figure or Table number). Just build a TOC field with the correct switches and you should be able to use it with RD fields. Table of Figures/Tables - Approx. 200 of each in large documen
Hi
We are using Word 2002. When you use the SEQ field do you have to put something next to each Table title or Figure title. THere are about 400 tables total so that would require lots of work. I have tried to create a table of figures and table of tables in each individual section and then I am currently cutting and pasting those table of Figures/ Tables into a separate table listing except I am getting bookmark not defined as I am no longer in the place where I create this list........... Any suggestions........... Thanks Lisa -- LisaW "Cindy M." wrote: Hi ?B?TGlzYVc=?=, I believe we are using Word 97. You can check that in the Help/About menu.
