Default how do I delete or rename a folder in Word?

Tried to set up a new folder xxx2 to follow xxx and I omitted a hyphen. The
file appears under the old folder name and there is no evidence in the next
step up of xxx2, Tried to edit, erase or rename and nothing works on the
folder name. There has to be a way! Thanks

Right-click it and select Delete or Rename.

Are you accessing the file names while you're in Word? If so - don't. Do it
in windows Explorer.

The Open and Save dialogs in Word *are* the Explorer. (Simple sub-classing)

I've always been told not to do those kind of things within Word. (That's
not to day that I follow that advice 100% of the time but I do about 90%.)

Told by whom? -- Just curious, is all... have you ever actually met any
problems?
