Default Word 2007 fails to save. Indicates file is read only

I'm using Word 2007 SP1. The scenario is this. I'm editing a word document
and like to save it about every 5 minutes. 1 out of 20 times when I save it,
Word comes up with a message indicating that the file is now READ ONLY. The
file is NOT read only. It will not save. Now I have to do a SAVE AS, exit
word, and use explorer to delete the "read ony" copy and rename the new file
back to the original file name.

This is very consistent and is happening to other users too. This is
clearly a bug. Anyone know of a work around. Microsoft....fix it please.

Thanks.
