Focus not on cursor on opening
I have installed Word 2000 on XP Home Edition. When I double-click on a Word
document in the Explorer, it does not receive the correct focus when it opens. The cursor does not flash, and if I select something from the menu such as Print or Save As, the dialogue box opens behind the word window, and the title bar flashes. The problem can be resolved by alt-tabbing to the Explorer and back to the document, or by clicking on the text (if you remember to do this before selecting Print, etc.). The problem does not exist if you open Word from the Start Menu, and it does not affect other programs such as Excel and Notepad. Any ideas? -- Paul Needham |
