Protecting documents
I have a Word document (XP) which I need to distribute to several colleagues
via e-mail, however, I need the document protecting so nobody can edit it. I don't want to use the 'read only' option and the only other one I can think of is to class it as a Form, even though it isn't, and lock it via the Forms toolbar. Is there a more effective way I can protect the file? Thank you. Louise |

Protecting documents
What are you protecting it from? *Any* document that you allow someone to
see can ultimately be edited. If this is for colleagues to read only - outputting as PDF is the logical route, though that is not perfect. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Louise wrote: I have a Word document (XP) which I need to distribute to several colleagues via e-mail, however, I need the document protecting so nobody can edit it.
