Default how to select (and delete) a continuous bold line?

I created a continuous bold line in a Word 2007 document by typing the
underscore several times and then press enter. I now cannot select it and
delete it.

The line is a paragraph border.

See:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...tRidOfLine.htm

The article refers to Word 2003 and earlier. In Word 2007, you will find the
Borders and Shading functionality in the drop-down menu that appears when you
click the little arrow to the right of the bottom right icon in the Paragraph
group of the Home tab.
