How do I delete the bold black line that occurs when using the underscore for
a long period of time? It won't go away! Even tried cutting and pasting
around it but it follows everything into new documents! How frustrating, why
does Word do stuff like this????? PLease help otherwise I have to retype the
whole thing.

It's a paragraph border, caused by the AutoFormat As You Type setting. See
