Default Error message for "PDFMAKER",

Hi:

First of all, thanks to a post made by "garfield-n-odie", I got pdf
back up and working in word (I had gone over again all of the posts in
this NG about the topic, but somehow missed this one answer).

I now have the pdf conversion option. However, while bringing the pdf
option back up (Tools/template and then checking the pdf maker boxes),
I got the error message: "The pdf maker.dot created a serious error
the last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it?" I
said yes and that brought up tehpdf option toolbar.

Does this error message occur often adn if so, if there something I
can do to prevent it?

Thanks

It sounds like there was some minor corruption (and/or some temporary file
left open). If it persists replace the add-in with a new clean copy. In the
meantime check out http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm
