Default Autotext entry does not save

When I create a new autotext entry in word. It stays in the autotext entry
list until I exit out of word. When I go back into word the entry is gone.
Any help greatly appreciated

You may have networking setup to not allow changes to normal.dot or you may
be rejecting those changes. By default, autotext changes are saved in
normal.dot. I save mine in a separate global template; doing so may help
you.
