Default Funky symbols showing up on my Word doc

All of a sudden, my page now shows the symbol for new paragraph and all these
dots. Can anyone help?!!! PLEASE

Default Funky symbols showing up on my Word doc

Use Ctrl+Shft+8 or the ΒΆ icon (on the Home ribbon or the Standard toolbar) to
toggle the view of these.
