Default Footers below the bottom margin

How can I insert a footer that is below the bottom margin, i.e. at 1/2 in.?

The default footer margin is 0.5". View | Header and Footer, switch to the
footer pane, and type your footer text.

Hello-

In general that is where a true footer _should_ be -- are you using the
ViewHeader and Footer command? If so you can adjust the H/F margins in
FilePage Setup(Layout in 2003).
