Default What causes slow open in Word 2007

When I open or save a document Word takes 2-6 minutes to go thru the folders,
long frozen delay at each folder.

Turn off Thumbnails and your AntiVirus program and see if that fixes it.

I suspect it might be the antivirus add-in. If that fixes the problem, turn
the anti-virus back on and get back to us. Tell us which antivirus and we
may be able to advise further.
