grammar checker should allow turning off each rule separately
I have a problem with the grammar checker. I am a physician, and one of the
sentences I use frequently is "straight leg raising test was normal". The grammar checker always flags this. I would like to be able to turn this particular rule off, or at a minimum to be able to tell the grammar checker that this phrase is OK. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. You can mark any text as "no proofing." Select the text, go to Tools |
Language | Set Language and check the box for "Do not check spelling or grammar." You can also create a character style (based on Default Paragraph Font) that has the "no proofing" property and apply that to text as needed. It's barely possible that you can save an AutoText entry of this phrase (or any other) with this style applied (I haven't had a lot of success with this). -- Suzanne S.
