Default how do i convert html to word

How do I save (or transfer) the formatting when I cut an area from a website
and paste it into a word document? It appears convert the pasted info to text
only.

Save a blank Word document as a Web page it will take
change the file extention from .doc to .mht, then copy from
the web page to the blank Word document. Save the results.

I have a couple of questions of you. Why? Have you
considered that most web sites are copyrighted?
