Default The gallery is horrid and useless. I'm reverting.

The fact that I can't hide it is ridiculous. This is utter nonsense. I'm
reverting back to an earlier version of Office to avoid having to deal with
this useless line of buttons. Why, in God's name, don't you allow us to hide
it? Unbelievable and angry-making.

Assuming you are talking about the ribbon, right click on any of the tabs
(Home, Insert, ...) or somewhere on that line and choose "Minimize the
ribbon". That way, the "useless line of buttons" will only show when you
click on one of the tabs.

Hi,

There is no need for this suggestion. You can hide the Ribbon by pressing
Ctrl+F1. You can also show the Ribbon again by pressing Ctrl+F1 when it is
hidden.

Hope this helps,

Or double-click any of the tabs.
