Why does the program close when a file is closed?
I recently installed Windows XP and MS Office 2003 Pro. The annoying thing
that happens with Word is that most of the time the entire program will close even though I only close down the open file only. I try to be careful not to close the program by only using the tiny "close window" x for the file only, not the large X. Any hints? What am I missing here? Thanks. |

Answering my own post - as I'm new to this forum, I should have searched for
the answer, since this seemed like something other users were experiencing. So thanks to the kind folks who shared this link: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=555169 It did the trick. I'm happy, the boss is happy. "Carmie" wrote: I recently installed Windows XP and MS Office 2003 Pro.
