I'm looking for the "reveal formatting" option in word - on a previous pc, it
was under format_reveal formatting ... now, on the new pc, i cannot seem to
track it down. anybody know if this tool still exists?

In Word 2002 and 2003, there is a Reveal Formatting task pane.
