Default No page numbering in frot matter

I don't want any page numbering on the front matter which is 3 pages. How do
I delete the page numbering in the 1st section without deleting the page
numbering for the entire document?

You must unlink the header/footer in Section 2 from the one in Section 1
(click the Link to Previous button to turn it off).

Patty,
Use an If field in the header or footer: using CTRL+F9 to get the brackets
{ IF { PAGE } 4 "" "{ PAGE }" }
Or make two different sections in your documents, the first comprising the
three first pages, the second the rest of the document. In the
header/footer, go to the second section click on the button same as previous
to disconnect from the first section and apply your page number.

Clicking on the button "link to previous" in the footer of the first page of
section 2 worked. I no longer see link to previous just above the footer
section as before. Thanks.
