Default switch page number from top to bottom in different sections

i want to know how to have page numbers at the top of the page in the first
section, but then have it at the bottom of the page in the rest of the
document. Whatever I try ends up showing both numbers at top of page and
bottom of page in all sections.

Don't even try to accomplish this using Insert | Page Numbers. Use View |
Header and Footer and insert the page number in the appropriate header or
footer. You'll need to unlink the headers/footers of sections where you want
page numbers to appear in different places. For more, see
