Is there a way to set default settings for footers in Word?
That big empty box is supposed to be where you explain your question...
What kind of settings are you interested in? - Paragraph and font settings are defined in a paragraph style named "Footer" (and there's a similar one for headers called "Header"). If you want to change the settings, modify that style. Check the "Add to template" box in the Modify dialog to save the changes so they apply to all future documents based on the same template. - The content of the footer (page numbers, file name, other items) can be edited directly into the template, and they'll automatically appear in all new documents based on that template. It's a bad idea to do this to Normal.dot, though, because it interferes with the label wizard.
