Default why table lines do not appear bottom of each page

I have a table where border lines are required under some rows but not
others. I need a line to print out at the bottom of the table on each page,
even if that particular row has no border or that row goes across the page.
At the moment at work we have to re-edit the lines everytime we edit the
table, which is about 50 pages long. I work in a Document Production Centre
of a law firm and no-one has been able to work this one out.

When we had the older version of Word we were able to do it. I cant believe
that Word has gone backward on this particular aspect of Tables. There must
be a way. Please help.
