Default Why do I get "Delete block" at the bottom of my word document?

Why am I asked at athe bottom of my word document "Delete block" N (yes) when
I try to delete anything on my word document. I am using Miscrosoft Word
2003. What setting(s) need to be changed to allow me to just delete by
highlighting the text and then just hitting "delete".

Thank you.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
