Is there any way that one can set 2007 so that it displays the old standard
tool bar in addition to the new ribbon. I am an occasional user and am too
old to learn this new system on the first day. I would like to have both for
a while.

Thanks

Hi elstalker,

No, but there are various 3rd party tools that try to replicate the old style menus.

Cheers

Hi Elstalker,

To add to Macropod's reply, there is a review by Bill Coan, Word MVP, of two of the tools that give you the old menus and/or allow
you to tweak the Ribbons in Office 2007 available at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...mizeRibbon.htm

There is also Word MVP Graham Mayor's article on how to use your own old menus inside of Word 2007, available here.
http://gmayor.com/Toolbars_in_word_2007.htm

There are also Microsoft's selection of cross reference helpers available from:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/tr...295841033.aspx
