Default How do I move from cell to cell iin a table column in Word 200

The text I was going by is on p. 39, Inserting and Modifying Tables, for the
MOS Word 2003 Core Exam, in the Office 2003 Study Guide, (c)2004. I didn't
think you could move down the column of a table in Word, but I figured it
would be just my luck that you could, and that would be the question I would
get on the exam. Thanks for the help.

Perhaps the book you were reading was for Excel? Unless you have enabled the
code in €śWD: How to Code ENTER Key to Move to Next Field in Form€ť at
http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=211219, the Enter key always inserts a new
paragraph.

In the Microsoft Office Specialist Study Guide, it says that in a table

you
can move the insertion point from cell to cell in a column by pressing the
Enter key. But when I try that, it just adds another line in the cell that
the insertion point is in. The Tab key takes me across the row to the end
before moving down to the first cell in the next row. Is there some

setting
so that using the Enter key will move to the next cell down in the column?

I
know I can use the down arrow key to move down the column, but I would

like
to have the Enter key work as the book says it's supposed to.
