Default Line count tool in MS Word 2002?

I know the feature was available for Word 2003, but now am using 2002 because
that's what came with the Office 2006 (go figure).

Hoping there's an "add a button" to count lines somewhere that I'm missing...

Any help would be much appreciated.

You are using 2002 because that's what came with 2006. Sorry but none of
that makes sense. 2002 or XP was part of Office XP. What is Office 2006?

Strange, I thought that Word 2006 came with Office 2006.
Are you saying you have gone down from Word 2003 to Word 2002?
Mike.

I only have Word 2002, however from the Format menu & selecting Bullets &
Numbering will produce numbered lines.
Mike.

I'll bet it's Word 2002 that came with Works Suite 2006.

Could be, I got MS Works Suite 2005 bundled with this PC & it includes Word
2002.

That makes sense!

It is many moons since I used Word XP, but I think that you get to this from
File, Properties which opens the Doc Properties dialog. IIRC you can also go
through the list of command and the Line Count and Word Count commands are
listed separately and can be dragged and dropped onto a toolbar.

There is no Office 2006 or Word 2006 unless they are Mac versions. The Word
versions are 2.0, 6.0, 95 (7.0), 97 (8.0), 2000 (9.0), 2002 (10.0), 2003
(11.0), and 2007 (12.0). Word 2002 comes in Office XP.

Suzanne,

Actually, there was the MS Office 2006 Small Business Management Edition. It included Office 2003 plus MS Office Accounting 2006.
