Default Rearranging Pages

Is there a way to simply drag and drop to rearrange my word pages. Looking
for the same type of functionality as powerpoint slides. Seems that I should
be able to do it in Thumbnail view, but no real actions are allowed there.
Thanks!

Word is not a page oriented program, so the short answer is "No."

The longer answer, however, is that "it depends". If you've used Heading 1
through Heading 9 styles in formatting different parts of your document, you
can drag document sections around (as well as using keyboard shortcuts and
toolbar tools) to reorganize your document... in Outline view.

So... if each page were to begin with something formatted as Heading 1, and
all of the text on that page used body text formatting or Heading 2 or
subordinate heading levels, then you could indeed drag pages around in
Outline view.

Thanks Herb. Not the answer I wanted, but the answer I needed. Thumbnail
view could pretty easily be made to add this function in the future I hope!

Don't hold your breath 8-} Word processing programs aren't intended to be
used that way and it would most likely cause many headaches for the majority
of people who use word processing software for word processing. Page
manipulation of the type you are seeking has its own realm - Desktop
Publishing (page layout) programs. MS Publisher is one option.
