Default Adjusting text margins for single label in Word 2007

We generally print single labels for envelopes when sending out letters.
After typing the letter, we highlight the address, click Mailings - Create
Label and our address is listed in the box. Then we select the relevant Row
& Column and our single label is printed.

Is there a way we can adjust the margins for where the address prints on the
label? At the moment it sits right up the top left corner of the label. We'd
prefer it centred vertically and a few spaces to the right.

I can see how to adjust the label size, but I can't find anywhere to adjust
the margins for the text itself.

Thx Rebekah

Labels in Word are merely Tables, so you can use the Text Alignment facility
to centre the text vertically and the paragraph indent to add space to the
left of the text.

Hope this helps.

Default Adjusting text margins for single label in Word 2007

Hi Doug

That works if you create a page based on the label. I just want to print
ONE label without opening another document. There doesn't appear to be any
table formatting options when the Envelopes & Labels screen is open.

Of course, a workaround that I have used is to have label document formatted
as we like it, then copy/paste the address to the relevant cell. I was just
trying to cut out the extra steps... if possible.

If you click New Document, you get a sheet of labels; you can insert your
address in whichever label you want and format it as desired.
