Default Table Borders

Hi I have created a simple table consisting of 3 Columns and two rows.
Basically they are "fill in the blank" areas on a form, below the
border line in the second row is the instruction on what info to
enter..for example:

_________ __________
Name Address

However, from creating one table, I am not able to delete a small
section of the border line to seperate this entries that are centered
beside eachother. I have tried inserting columns(without any border)
between the entries, but when printing the line still connects. Any
solutions available?
