Formatting for Hotmail clients
Hi - I've written an HTML email using XMLSpy, saved it as html (also tried
..mht extension), imported it to Word 2003, and performed a mailmerge using my Outlook 2003 Cantacts folder. I'm not inserting any fields into the body of the email - simply using the Contacts database to address the email. This appears to work fine, and the result display perfectly in Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla - however, in Hotmail, a number of "special" characters are inserted, apparently at random, but most noticeably where I have used the tags for bold emphasis (strong ) & bulleted (li). Can anyone tell me how to rectify this, or suggest an alternative approach? |

Not really - the recipients have all opted for html mail, so I think that
they will be disappointed with plain text!
