Default Recover overwritten word file

Is it possible to recover a Microsoft word 2000 document that later on
was overwritten?

Many thanks

Sincerely yours

Richard

If you are using a Windows 2003 server with Shadow Copy enabled, you can go
back to a previous version of the document. Otherwise you can restore it
from tape backup.

If you are a standalone user without backup, then I'm sorry to say it is
lost forever.
