Default How do I format a multiple choice test in MS Word?

Does anyone know how to format multiple choice questions so that everything
lines up properly? In WordPerfect all I had to do was hit the F4 key and
everything would "word wrap" to that tab spot but in MS Word I can't find
anything similar...it seems with Word when I reach the end of a line it wraps
at either the left margin or under the "a"/"b"/"c"/or"d" of the multiple
choice answers when I want it to line up under the tab after the "a,b,c, or
d" choices. Please help!

At the most basic level, you need to set hanging indents on your paragraphs,
but if you have a layout such as the following:

1. Question
a. Answer
b. Answer
c. Answer
d. Answer

then what you want is an outline-numbered list. This will allow you to apply
numbers automatically to the questions (if you right-align the numbering,
then all the numbers will align on the period), so that they will renumber
automatically if you move them around, and it will also allow you to
automatically number the answers from a to d or e or whatever and
automatically restart numbering after each question. For detailed
instructions on how to do this, see
