I have a 35 page document created over five years by several different
people. How can I scan and remove any duplicated entries in this document?

Hard to say without some clues as to what an 'entry' is in this context.

The simplest and fastest way with a document of only 35 pages is to do it by
eye.

Programming this gets very involved :-)
