i have finally figured out this crazy Building Blocks business, and now Word
encounters an error upon trying to save them when i close the application.
when i close, it asks if i want to save the new gallery items, i say yes, and
then the save fails. when i re-open, of course my new Building Blocks are
all gone. what could be wrong?

If you are on a network, do you have Save permission to the folder where the
Building Blocks are stored?

thanks; i think we worked out the problem. apparently it has to do with
working in "Compatibility Mode" - we are having *lots* of issues with it...
