Default Cross-References

Certainly... but why would you want to?

Ctrl+F9 generically inserts a field manually, but Cross-References might be
any of several different types of fields so you need to know which code to
enter, you need to know the precise identity of exactly what it is that is
being referenced - many of which you have no [simple] way of knowing ({
PAGEREF _Ref163280893 \h } - who'd figure "Ref163280893" is the identity of
item #2 in _that_ specific numbered list?) - and then it's a matter of the
appropriate switches. IMHO, use the InsertCross-Reference dialog... far
more expeditious, efficient & accurate.
