Default How to ristrict form but allow filling forms?

I've created a form with some Rich Text field. When I protect the document
with allow for "Filling in forms", Word does not allow me to fill in the form
when I click on the Rich Text field. What's going on? It's so frustrating.

So I guess no one has a clue on how to accomplish this then. It's a shame
that Word 2007 is full of hype but I guess I'll still need Adobe Acrobat for
creating my forms.

Okay, I just found out what the problem is. Word 2007 form developing tools
is full of CRAP! Yes, I said crap. Because there is no tools for creating a
radio button or checkbox in version 2007 version, I have to use the legacy
tools (which is still available). However, because I mixed the two sets of
form tools to create my form when I restrict the document and allow only
"Filling in forms", it does not work. Yes, it does NOT WORK. I had to figure
this out myself. Another word, I can't mix the two versions (Word 2003 legacy
tools and Word 2007 tools) in a form and restrict the document. The problem
with this aproach is that the tools in Word 2007 does not have radio button
or check box control and the legacy tools from Word 2003 does not have date
picker. It's a lose lose situation here. So that's why I said Word 2007 form
development feature is CRAP!

The Rich Text content control is not a form field, and by locking the
document for forms you've disabled the content control. The two are not
compatible.

Look in the Word 2007 help for a description of content controls and how to
use them. Here's a hint that's hard to find in the help, though: Replace all
your old form fields with their content control equivalents; when you have
all the controls in place, select the entire document, insert a Rich Text
content control so everything else is nested inside it, and set its
properties to disallow editing or deletion of the control. All the controls
nested inside this big Rich Text control will still operate, so the effect
will be the same as form protection but without all the drawbacks -- for
example, spell-checking still works.

This stuff is not hype. It works (although with a few "version 1.0"
glitches).

Although the work around does seem to work, I don't think anyone will
actually going to use this work around. First, there is no way to configure
the big Rich Text that contains all the other controls inside so it does not
have the blue line border. Second, there are no equivalent controls in Word
2007 for the tools that are in the legacy drop down list such as the check
box and radio button.

So as far as form creating, Word 2007 is worst than Word 2003.
