Set up a order form template that will pull address info from ACT
I work with ACT software and would like to set up 2 templates in Word. One
that is a quote document and one that is an Order Form and can pull the address from ACT into the Word Template Quote and then transfer to the Order Form |

You'll find it easier to set these up from the ACT end. ACT has its own
template creation method. (Edit document template on the Write menu). It is technically possibly to pull data into Word from ACT, but its messy, largely because the ACT software is lousy, badly documented, and based on a seriously idiotic object model. Also, be aware that ACT doesn't gracefully handle different versions of Word. ACT 6 works with Word 9 or 10 -- no more, no less. We upgraded to W2003 and ACT no longer works with Word at all, on the grounds that our version of Word is "out-of-date" (!) "aliciawiggins" wrote in message ...
