You could format that page as two columns. Done that way, each half acts as
a mini-page of sorts. The text could then be centered on the left "page" without affecting what's on the right, and without going to the center of the physical page. If you're using Word 2007, column formatting can be found in the Page Layout tab--Page Setup section. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "LT" wrote in message ... You could use a two-column table (with no borders showing), put the
graphic on the right and the text on the left and make it centered. On Jan 13, 10:49*pm, LT wrote: I'm creating an invitation that has a graphic on the right side and text on the left. *How do i center the text on the left side of the page with out it moving the text to the center of the page. |

To add to the suggestions Herb and Peter have made, if this is Word 2000 or
above, you can use the "2 pages per sheet" setting in page setup to get two logical pages on the same sheet; this accomplishes the same thing as columns but even more effectively in that you can, if you wish, also have page borders or anything else you might want on a specific "page." Alternatively, if you just want text on one side and a graphic on the other, you could move the right margin in to confine the text to the left side of the page and "float" the graphic in the right margin by anchoring it to the text with text wrapping set to Square. -- Suzanne S.
