how do I make scanned documents able to be printed on?
Print the resulting scan and then reinsert that piece of paper back into
your printer so you can print on the other (or same) side. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, that's not what you meant? If you are talking about a form, you need to convert the scan with OCR software and then spend time to learn how to create a form. We are talking many, many hours worth of worth and training. I have done this before but this time it is not working can the format be

You have two choices - use OCR to convert the document to editable text
or Insert the document as an image and set the layout to behind text.
