I have recently been upgraded to Word 2002 and I am really dissappointed with
the new changes to Tables. Having to go up to the top and select Table then
Insert then Rows Above or Below to insert ONE row. So if I require 5 rows I
have to go up 5 times. With the old version at least you are able to right
click and insert rows. I am really suprised that Microsoft has overlooked
this flaw. I cannot see how this could be any sort of improvement,
especially since I work with tables so often.

Just a suggestion to ad back the insert rows on the right click option list.

You can add the command to the menu yourself.

First, notice that if you select one whole row, then right-click, the
Insert Rows command is on the menu. However, there are a whole series
of right-click menus associated with tables, and the ones for any
selection other than one row don't have the command.

To fix this, open the Tools Customize dialog. On the Toolbars tab,
check the Shortcut Menus item. A small floating toolbar appears in the
upper left; click the Table item to drop down a list of table-related
menus. Click one of those menus to expand it.

In the Customize dialog, click the Commands tab. In the Categories
list, click Table. Click and drag the Rows item from the Commands list
to the open menu, and drop it in the position you want. You can repeat
this for each of the other table menus (Table Text already has the
command). When you finish, close the Customize dialog.

When you exit Word, if you're prompted to save Normal.dot, click Yes.
