Default How do I delete scanned documents from MS word?

Scanned documents in MS Word are listed under "File" as saved. Cannot figure
out how to delete them.

Do you mean down where the recently opened files are located?

I suspect you mean that they are listed on the MRU list at the bottom of the
File menu. There are two ways to remove them:

1. On the General tab of Tools | Options, clear the check box for "Recently
used file list," then OK; then go back and check it again and select the
desired number to be listed.

2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Hyphen and click on the file you want to remove. Repeat as
needed. Be careful with this shortcut, as it will delete *any* menu item you
click on!
