I am having difficulty open word documents attached to emails.
I received 3 emails with word attachments and tried opening them. They opened
for about 1/2 second and then disappeared. I try re-opening them and they do not open. |

Opening documents directly from attachments can cause problems in several
ways. Instead, save the attachment to your Word documents folder, then open it from there. -- Suzanne S. I tried that as well but still could not open the document.

There is no error message. I click on the email attachment (which is an MS
Word document) and the window comes up and asks if I want to open or save the document. If I open the document, Word opens and I see the document for about 1/2 second beforeit diasappears. Word completely shuts down and I am staring back at the screen previous to opening the attachment. I can save the document and the same thing happens. this just started last week. You're saying that even if you save the document to your usual document

That is exactly what I am saying. If you want, I can forward to you a word

If it's reasonably small, then yes, send it and I'll have a look.
