got a new laptop to replce old laptop and lost all software.have no backup
cds.of the essential software like m word ,access, powerpoint
please help

If the old software was a retail boxed copy and you simply lost the CD, look
at

How to Replace Lost, Broken, or Missing Microsoft Software or Hardware

If the software came bundled with the old laptop, you aren't licensed to
install it on the new computer anyway; you'll have to buy the replacements.

If you had Office XP or Office 2003, and if it was a retail
version (it did not come preinstalled on your old laptop by the
computer manufacturer), and if you have proof of purchase, then
see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246 "How to Replace
Lost, Broken, or Missing Microsoft Software or Hardware" and
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823570 "How to obtain a new
product key for Office program setup".

If you had Office 2000 or earlier, or if you had an OEM
(preinstalled on your old laptop by the computer manufacturer)
version of Office XP or Office 2003, then you need to purchase a
new copy of Office.
