wrong symbol
I used Zapfdingbats for a symbol I needed. I used it quite often in a 6 page
document I typed. When I printed it, the symbol was a totally different symbol than what I typed. |

Perhaps it was a font that your printer doesn't support.

What should I do about this? How do I prompt my printer to accept the font?

Did you look to see if your printer driver has a setting for not
