Default Word 2007, cannot turn off markup

I fat-fingered the keyboard using Word 2007 TR1; no it shows all of the
markup (paragraph icons, etc.)

I have looked everywhere and have inspected where this feature is located -
it is not turned on in the UI.

I uninstalled / reinstalled the product, which net resulted in same probelm
being there - obviously it made some kind of a change to the registry
settings. Grrrr.

The ribbon bar must go. Evil productivity black-hole.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

I have the same problem. Markup doesn't show during printing. I think this
is a bug.
