Default Macro not found or dissabled

I am unable to get my macros to run b/c they no longer seem to be in the
application or are disabled. How can I get them back? I raised the security
from Low to High but that did not help me. thanks.

Reset macro security to Medium and leave it there. Set security to trust
installed templates and add-ins.

Where are the macros stored? Have you overwritten the template that contains
them - normal.dot?
