Default Brackets and Numbering

Hi,

I currently am using an Advance field code to place a bracket to the left of
a number in a numbering scheme. It's causing problems when generating the
TOC, though. Is there any other way to place a bracket ([) to the left of a
number using Word's numbering feature (so it looks something like [1.01)?

Thanks!

Do you want the bracket included in the TOC or not? What version of Word are
you using?
