Changing Word Option Defaults
I want to change the Advanced Layout Option "Suppress Space Before after a
hard page or column break" to default to On. I went into the Normal.dot template and turned the option on. I saved the template, closed and opened MS-Word 2007 and discovered that not only did it not keep the option "On", it turned off all other layout options in my new document. Something basic I'm missing here? tia |

Changing Word Option Defaults
The template for W2007 is Normal.dotm. if you upgraded you may still find
Normal.dot in the templates folder. But you can modify normal.dotm without opening it. In W2007 go to Office button options Advanced Compatibility options for. From the dropdown choose "All New documents" (they left out "based on this template"). Then from the layout options choose the one you want. Click the OK to exit.
