I can't read .wps files in Office XP, shouldn't I be able to?
My friend has Microsoft Works, I have Office XP professional. I can't read
any of her files, and I think at the very least I should be able to read her wordprocessing or .wps files. Is there an option I should be selecting? |

Various versions of Word can open various versions of Works files. If your
version of Word doesn't have a converter for your friend's version of Works, you may be able to find the required converter at http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm. Alternatively, ask your friend to save as RTF, a format that can be opened by any word processor. -- Suzanne S.
