How do I open an "Open Office" document?
I was under the impression that Open Office was compatible with MS Word.
I have created a document in Open Office and tried to open it with Word, but there is no extension (.odt) option available. Am I able to use both of these programmes freely or not? |

Open Office can read and write MS Word format (.doc) files. Word cannot read ..odt files. If you want to use both programs interchangeably for the same documents, always save them in .doc format. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
