Add the "aquire text" function
When I had word 2000 there was a button on the file menu called "aquire
text." It controled a scanner and used the OCR software to imput the text into the doccument. When I upgraded to Word 2003 (for students & teachers) this function was unavailable. Please Help Me. Thanks in advance Samuel Wyld. |

Look under your Start menu (All) Programs Microsoft Office Microsoft
Office Tools for Document Imaging. (I found this using help looking for optical character; I haven't used it myself. I use the PaperPort software that came with my scanner.) -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
